Hi'iaka is the Hawaiian Goddess of life after death. She was brought to the Hawaiian Islands by her sister Pele, who brought Hi'iaka as an egg across the ocean. Hi'iaka represents the moss, the sprouts, the life that springs from Pele's volcanic earth.
